I hear the trains all roll on by
Who is tied to them?
Who is waiting on them?

You just lie there in your sleep
Your heavy, even breathing
Oblivious to what’s outside
Every time you close your eyes

When I wake up in your bed
I hear the subway rattle on
Where are they going now?
Where will they sleep tonight?

The sun cracks through the trees?
They all have all lost their leaves
